This learning paper examines social enterprise (SE) in Kyrgyzstan, looking at what kind of organisations describe themselves as social enterprises, what they do, who their leaders are, and what challenges they face.
Following on from INTRAC’s previous Praxis paper on social enterprise in Kyrgyzstan, where the focus was on the start-up process, this paper draws on a study on social enterprise in Kyrgyzstan, funded by the British Council in 2017-18, and is more interested in further stages of development.
