OPS 5. Strengthening the Capacity of Southern NGO Partners

Strengthening the organisational capacity of Southern NGOs has been identified as a crucial development strategy by official and non-governmental development agencies alike. While many Northern NGOs have begun to develop their own particular approaches for strengthening the capacity of their partners, there has been no previous attempt to aggregate and analyse these experiences in a systematic way. This 6-month INTRAC research project provided an overview of different NGO approaches.
