International NGOs are increasingly incorporating advocacy and change-related strategies into their work, recognising that service delivery can only partly tackle poverty. This rise in advocacy programming has resulted in an increase in pressure from donors to measure and demonstrate impact.
This case study by INTRAC Consultant Sarah Rose aims to document how Norwegian Church Aid, ChristianAid, and Church of Sweden are responding to some of these challenges through a long-term advocacy capacity building initiative undertaken by INTRAC. It aims to provide readers experiencing similar challenges with a set of ideas and an approach that can be replicated in other contexts.
