Titled Locally rooted, globally connected, INTRAC’s strategic framework for 2024-2028 is our statement of intent for the latest phase of our support to civil society.

Our strategic framework is the product of an in-depth participatory process which was contributed to by our staff, network members, and partners. It restates INTRAC’s founding principles and values, and sets out our vision for 2028:

Civil society actors, organisations and movements across the world can develop, engage with others and do what they want to do, better: supported to deliver just, equitable and sustainable societies for all.

The framework is rooted in the knowledge that civil society around the world faces unprecedented challenges. These include restrictions on civic space, a rise in violent conflict, and growing climate vulnerability. The framework describes how INTRAC will shift its way of working to better contribute to the ecosystem of support for civil society in this changing context.

The framework sets out INTRAC’s four strategic goals, which we will work towards by putting locally led, ethical and values-driven approaches at the heart of our work. The INTRAC network will form an increasingly major part of what we do. It will be rooted locally and connected globally, involving individuals, collectives and organisations, all part of the ecosystem of support to civil society.

The strategic framework is available in two versions. There is a full version (15 pages) and a condensed “quick read” version (3 pages). Both are available to download below.
