Landscape Analysis of CSO Capacity Strengthening Efforts in the Global South

This report presents findings of a landscape analysis of capacity strengthening efforts in Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Tunisia), Asia (India, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon) and Latin America (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Peru). The research was commissioned by the Ford Foundation and carried out by INTRAC between December 2020 and February 2021.

It was based on a literature review and 72 in-depth semi-structured interviews with resource organisations, CSOs, donors, the Ford Foundation and other key informants in Africa, Asia and Latin America and a review of academic and grey literature.
