Emmanuel is an experienced researcher and development practitioner with over 10 years working experience in the field of civil society financing and resource mobilisation. He has multidisciplinary research and policy interests in NGO management and sustainability, civic activism, lobby and advocacy, development cooperation, aid architecture and policies, philanthropy, civil society capacity building. As Researcher and an Independent Consultant, he has undertaken research and consultancy services in sub-Saharan Africa (Ghana, Kenya, Burkina Faso, South Africa, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Gambia) and Europe (United Kingdom and Netherlands).
Emmanuel holds PhD in International Development (University of Bath); MSc Agriculture and Development (University of Reading) and MA Development and Rights (Goldsmiths, University of London). He is a Research Associate at the African Centre for Philanthropy and Social Investment at the Wits Business School, University of The Witwatersrand, South Africa.
