Her expertise spans the spectrum from grassroots operations to high-level policy processes and multi-stakeholder initiatives, with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and poverty reduction. She has worked across multiple African, Asian, and Pacific nations.
Her technical proficiency encompasses the key domains of food security, natural resources management, agricultural value chains, climate change adaptation, governance and organizational capacity enhancement. Catherine has collaborated with various stakeholders, ranging from NGOs, government agencies, and the private sector to research institutions and international donor agencies like the EU, USAID, FCDO, and the UN. Her work has taken her into the heart of remote, marginalized, and vulnerable communities, and she has also played a pivotal role in shaping policy and supporting strategic multi-agency partnerships.
Catherine holds a bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the University of Leeds, a Master’s degree from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, and she further developed her skills through a prestigious DFID fellowship that led to a six-month professional development programme at ICRA in Wageningen, The Netherlands.
Her leadership has contributed to the conception and execution of complex programmes, as well as leading comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and studies, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative techniques.
