Helen MealinsHelen joined INTRAC as Chief Executive in June 2017, a role she held until September 2019. She brings with her over 20 years’ experience of working with politicians, government officials, civil society practitioners and private sector executives in a variety of leadership and consultancy roles, to advance social change in Africa, Asia and Europe. Immediately prior to joining INTRAC she was working in Uganda leading the implementation of the civil society focused Democratic Governance Facility (DGF), which was funded by eight European governments.

Helen is a politically savvy governance adviser and institutional development practitioner, who specialises in corporate strategy and planning. Her sectoral expertise spans the social sectors (health, education); utilities (electricity, water); regional trade and transport infrastructure; extractive industries (coal, copper, oil); agriculture and agribusiness. Helen is a qualified accountant and as well as a BSc in Agriculture, holds Masters’ degrees in Business Administration and Development Finance.
