INTRAC embarks on the next, exciting phase of our support for civil society. Accordingly, we are searching for a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

About INTRAC

INTRAC is a mission-driven, not-for-profit organisation, focused on the core belief that vibrant, diverse and inclusive civil societies are essential catalysts for a world where everyone can thrive. Founded in 1991, INTRAC has been working to strengthen civil society organisations (CSOs) for over 30 years.

INTRAC does this through a combination of consultancy work, training provision, and research. We have a staff team mostly based in the UK, and a global network of independent consultants, trainers, and researchers.

Our strategic framework for 2024-2028

“We are a diverse and collegiate Board committed to the work of INTRAC supporting civil society globally. This is an exciting time to join us as we begin implementing our new five-year strategy.” – Yvonne Taylor, Chair of the Board of Trustees

This year, INTRAC has published a new strategic framework to guide our work up to 2028. This represents an exciting new phase for our support for civil society. We have rooted our strategy in an awareness of the unprecedented challenges facing civil society. These include restrictions on civic space, a rise in violent conflict, and growing climate vulnerability. The framework describes how INTRAC will shift its way of working to better contribute to the ecosystem of support for civil society in this changing context.

How you can help as our new treasurer

We are seeking a treasurer with experience in charity finance, audit and risk management.  INTRAC is looking for someone who is excited about our new strategy and believes in our organisational values.

We especially welcome applications from individuals located in different civil society contexts, who can bring perspectives and experiences from the majority world and contribute to the diversity of thinking, practice and experience at board level, and help ensure that we really are locally rooted and globally connected in our own governance and development.

How to apply

To apply, please send a CV and covering letter by email to Peter Allen (info@intrac.org) explaining why you would like to join our board of trustees, and how you would be able to contribute. Please include your contact details. Note that the only role for which we are currently seeking applicants is that of Treasurer. Please note also that we are accepting applications on a rolling basis, with no deadline.

If you would welcome a conversation with a member of our senior management team or a current trustee to assist in considering this opportunity, please do contact Peter Allen (info@intrac.org) who will arrange for them to contact you.
